Spell-checker
for Swahili
We
have produced a high-level spell-checker for Swahili. Our
technology makes use of finite state methods combined with two-level
rules for controlling covering and accurate identification of spelling
errors. We have also, together with Lingsoft,
developed a hyphenator, which follows language-specific hyphenation
rules of Swahili. The spell-checker can be downloaded on the Microsoft web page.
